How do I use site X with Now Playing X

In principle you can use Now Playing X with which ever site you want be it blog, social networking, video or wiki. To add a new site Go to Tools > Now Playing X and click Add... button. A word about privacy: It is good to ask yourself "What information I want to share with others?" when adding new sites.

In the Name field, type the name of the site which you are adding.

In the Url when playing field type the URL where you want Now Playing X to be active. URL entered should be part of the URL which doesn't change. For example if the service uses the following URL structure for pages: http://video.scifi.com/player/?id=xxxxxx
Then URL entered to the URL when playing field should be: http://video.scifi.com/player

“Now playing text source” section defines which element of the page is used as content of the messenger's “Show what I’m listening to” field, also known as status text.

Page Title: Use this if you want that the title of the browser window is used as status text.
Element with id: Use this if you want that content of HTML element with given id is used as status text. To get Id you need to use View > View Source and search for information you want to be displayed and observe possible id="xxx" attribute.
Element with class name: Use this if you want that content of HTML element with given class is used as status text. To get Class name you need to use View > View Source and search for information you want to be displayed and observe possible class="xxx" attribute. Since multiple elements can have the same class value you need to know index of that element. First occurrence is 0, fifth is 4 and so on.
Plain element: Use this if you want that content of plain HTML element is used as status text. To get Tag name you need to use View > View Source and search for information you want to be displayed and observe tag that is used. For example tag can be h1 Since HTML-document can contain same tag many times you need to know index of that element. First occurrence is 0, fifth is 4 and so on.

Check Use Name field as prefix checkbox if you want that the name you typed in the Name field is used as prefix. The output will look like this:
